Memory Care Building Opens in Residence

Oakmont Senior Living has opened Villena, a Traditions Memory Care building, in its luxury seniors community Santianna. Villena will house residents with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. The new facility will allow families to transition their loved ones from independent and assisted living to memory care if needed. Villena’s two floors include 67 memory care apartments as well as a movie theater, event room and outdoor courtyard. Programming is designed for residents with memory loss or cognitive impairments. Residents also have access to virtual reality programs that aid in brain function and memory recall. Villena in Santianna is located at 2540 Faraday Ave.

On Saturday and January 1, Home Improvement Expo San Diego visits the Del Mar Fairgrounds. 29 is filled with demos, home improvement products and services, plant sales, and consultations with home and garden experts. County Requirements Damage Inventory Form

The San Diego County Office of Emergency Services is asking residents for help estimating area-wide flooding and stormwater damage from recent storms. If your property or small business was damaged by a storm between December and the 12th. 29 and January. 17. Fill out the survey at bit.ly/2SNcRK4. The data collected will be used to estimate total damage across the county and whether enough damage has occurred to qualify the area for disaster relief assistance, such as low-interest disaster loans from the Small Business Administration.
